Star Clusters is a 4×4 grid full of beautiful gem symbols that on every win, the winning symbol will explode and split into 4 separate symbols. If you win again, the symbols will then disappear and more will tumble from above, giving you even more symbols.
This is a cluster pays slot where wins of 5 or more touching symbols will create a win. It can lead to a whole load of chain reactions that is a whole load of fun to watch.
Watch for the two different types of wild
The Star is the wild symbol and it comes in two forms. The first can just replace any other symbol to create those mini-clusters of split symbols.
The second is golden and does the same job, except it also increases the multiplier at the top of the reels. This multiplier resets once the avalanche finishes, but it can increase up to 10x which is where the really big wins can happen.
How big? Big enough to get you wins of over 1,000x your bet which is what we managed to reach. We suspect you can get much bigger – if the Megaways are anything to go by, over 10,000x your bet.
But getting those amount is almost impossible in the base game. What you want is to get 5 reactions, of any size of win, in order to trigger the free spins.
Star Clusters Megaclusters slot turns to an 8×8 grid
The way to get big wins is by triggering the Star Clusters free spins. At that point, the grid gets bigger and grows to be 8×8 in size.
At this point, the wins get easier, because you only need 5 symbol clusters. And as the winning symbols split into four each time, you almost always get a chain reaction of wins.
Equally, the multiplier you gain via the gold wild multiplier doesn’t reset when an avalanche stops. It just keeps on building, and you can keep getting more free spins by catching more multipliers.

MegaClusters and Avalanches: This game began as a 4x4 grid and can expand to 8 rows and 8 columns in the free spins. When a win occur, each of the winning symbols is replaced by four smaller symbols. When wins occur with these smaller symbols, the ones above collapse downward and new symbols will drop in from the top of the screen.
These reactions continue until there are no more wins. You get wins by matching 5 symbols either horizontally or vertically touching each other.
Wild: The Star is the Wild. It substitutes for all symbols except the Gold Wild. However, they substitute only for adjacent symbols and do not pay in clusters.
Gold Wild Multiplier: The Gold Wild Multiplier starts at x1 and increments by 1 whenever one or more gold wilds substitutes in a win.
Scatters Free Spins: when 5 or more reactions occur in the base game, you trigger the free spins. Plus 2 free spins are awarded for each reaction beyond the fifth.
When winning symbols split and react, it can allow up to 254 symbols wins to occur during the free spins. The Gold Wild Multiplier does not reset at the end of each spin. And every time it reaches a multiple of 10, an additional 2 free spins are awarded.
