Mobile Deposit Endorsements - Do you require a signature endorsment and 'For Mobile Deposit Only'? Employee at a bank ( $187M USA ) Do you require consumer customers to endorse the back of their check with a signature endorsement and the words 'For Mobile Deposit Only'? Write: “For Deposit Only to Account Number XXXXXXXXXX” Sign your name below that, but still within the endorsement area of the check. Some banks will require you to add “Mobile Deposit” to the endorsement when you deposit a check using your phone. Some banks will accept other endorsement styles for mobile deposit.
- Can I view a copy of my check after it has been deposited?
Yes, select “View mobile deposit history” to view the front and back of a check image that was submitted within the last 30 days. If you need to see a check image that is outside of the 30 days, please contact Member Services at 1-800-645-4728.
- What are the deposit limits?
$15,000.00 limit per deposit with a $15,000.00 limit per day.
- Do I need to endorse the check I am depositing?
Yes. You must endorse your check as follows: 'For Mobile Deposit Only' and your signature.
- When will the funds be deposited and available within my account?
Funds will be deposited into your account within two (2) business days and will follow GSCU's regular funds availability schedule. Please refer to our Funds Availability Disclosure.
- What types of check deposits are NOT accepted through Mobile Deposit?
1) Any item that is stamped with a 'non-negotiable' watermark.
2) Any item that contains evidence of alteration to the information on the check.
3) Any item issued by a financial institution in a foreign country.
4) Any item that is incomplete.
5) Any item that is 'stale dated'* or 'post dated'**.
6) Savings Bonds.
7) Third party checks***.
*Stale dated checks are defined as any check that is being negotiated more than six months after the date on the check.
**Post dated checks are defined as any check that is deposited before the date on the check.
***Third party checks are defined as checks that have been transferred by the original payee to a third party by means of an endorsement. - Will I be notified if my check is not accepted or if it is rejected?
Yes, our eServices department will notify you via email.

Mobile Deposit allows members to deposit checks utilizing their smartphone or tablet devices. You can deposit money in all of your GSCU share accounts.

- What do I do with the physical check once it has been deposited?
The physical check should be retained in a secure location for a period of ninety (90) days. After this period expires you can destroy the check.

Choose 'Deposit checks' in the navigation menu of your Chase Mobile® app and choose the account.
Enter the check amount and tap 'Front'. With our new 'Auto Capture' feature, the picture of the front and back of the endorsed check will be captured — or you can choose to take the pictures manually.

How does Chase QuickDeposit℠ work?
expandIn the Chase Mobile® app, choose “Deposit Checks” in the navigation menu and select the account. Enter the amount of the check and tap 'Front'. With our 'Auto Capture' feature, the picture of the front and back of the endorsed check will be captured — or you can choose to take the pictures manually. Verify your information and submit your deposit. After you submit, you can deposit another check or view the receipt. You’ll get an email when your deposit is received — and another when it’s accepted. If the deposit is rejected, you’ll also get an emailed explanation. Remember to properly endorse the back of the check with your signature and 'For electronic deposit only at Chase.'
When will my funds be available?
expandDeposits submitted before 11 PM Eastern time on a business day generally will be available by the next business day. Deposits submitted after 11 PM or on a non-business day will be processed the next business day. However, we may delay availability if we require further review of the deposit. Any information about delayed availability will be provided in the Secure Message Center, which is accessible in the main navigation menu.
What should I do with my check(s) after I’ve deposited it?
expandAfter you complete your transaction, write “deposited” and the date of deposit on the face of the check. Please retain the marked check for two business days or until you receive our notification that your QuickDeposit has been accepted. After that time, you may destroy it.
