Key Notifications on Service Changes
In light of the current situation with COVID19, we are making our best efforts to serve you. We have introduced a few changes to our service operations.
Dear Customer, On account of the COVID -19 situation, Barclays Bank Plc is currently unable to service request pertaining to issuances of cheques books, and new debit cards and generation of GST invoices.
Additionally, the generation of your account statements for March 2020 has been delayed for both e-Statements and hard copy statements.
We request you to write to customerservices@barclays.com or your Relationship Manager if you want us to send you your account statement for March 2020 over e-mail. We assure you that we are taking all necessary steps to offer you uninterrupted banking services as soon as is possible.

Dear Customer, Due to the current COVID19 situation and lockdown, we understand that you may find it difficult to go to a Barclays Bank branch or an ATM for your cash related requirements.
While we urge you to stay safe, we know you may still require to withdraw cash to support your daily requirements. We wish to update you that we do not levy any charges for cash withdrawals from any Bank’s ATM.
However, please note, in case of transactions done through international ATMs, regular charges will apply. | We are pleased to inform you that effective 14th December, 2020 from 00:30 IST, the RTGS transaction facility shall be available through our online channels from 02:00 IST to 22:00 IST on all days. All other facilities, including the timing of our bank branches, shall continue as before. |
I have been given a cheque by someone whose bank is outside of the UK, can I still pay this into my account?
A foreign cheque, one drawn on a bank outside of the UK, can be paid into your account using services called 'Negotiation' or 'Collection'. You do this by presenting it to the cashier in your local branch or sending it to us via the post
(It is recommended that you send it via 'Special Delivery' / Courier to avoid the cheque being intercepted or lost).

| Cheque Negotiation | lets you use the funds before the cheque has cleared and is credited to the account on the second working day*. |
| Cheque Collection | is a much slower service, where we wait for an answer from the bank upon which the cheque is drawn before crediting your account with the funds. This takes on average between four to seven weeks. |

* Cheques can still be unpaid by the bank upon which the cheque is drawn at a later date, in which case the money will be debited back from the account.
